Campus Custodian - Greencastle

Status: Part-time (up to 17 hours)
Reports To: Executive Director of Operations

The goal of the Campus Custodian is to ensure that the Grand Point Church Greencastle Campus is clean, safe, and attractive for all. The main focus will be on the interior spaces with limited outdoor space requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Campus Custodian for the Greencastle campus will be responsible for the following:

1. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Shampoo carpets
  • Clean dry erase boards
  • Clean inside and outside of windows
  • Empty and clean waste receptacles; transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • Vacuum all carpeting
  • Dust all furniture, equipment, and baseboards
  • Wipe down all glass and metal surfaces
  • Return chairs, tables, books, materials, and similar items to their proper place
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms including sinks, urinals, toilets, and floors
  • Stock restrooms as required
  • Cleanup as required following events, meetings, and services

2. Other Areas of Attention:

  • Notify the Property Management Team or Executive Director of Operations when repairs are needed
  • Fill in for Property Management Team when necessary for opening, cleaning, and closing an event
  • Keep inventory of all supplies (toilet tissue, towels, soap, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

3. Team Collaboration: Each member of the GPC staff will work as a team to accomplish the mission of Grand Point Church. This may include duties outside the normal realm of their position but are imperative to the fulfillment of our objectives as a whole.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience cleaning facilities.
  • Must be energetic and take pride in keeping the church clean.
  • Must be physically able to carry out the required activities.
  • Must be flexible in availability to accommodate the schedule of church activities.
  • Must be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, volunteers, and the public.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of trust.
