Director of Connections

Director of Connections
Status: Full time (salary)
Reports To: Executive Director of Advancement

The Director of Connections is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and oversight of the Connections Team for all GPC campuses.

They ensure all needs within the Connection Teams are fulfilled so that everyone experiences a warm, welcoming environment and clear next steps for connection and active involvement.

This role leads numerous volunteer teams and oversees the hospitality of GPC’s physical spaces, along with all connection responsibilities for weekend worship services and special events.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Director of Connections oversees the Guest Services Team—including worship service greeters and service managers—the Café Team, Medical Team, Parking Team, MPR Video Venue Team, Safety Team, and any additional teams needed to support future growth.

1. Connections, Guest Services, & Special Events

  • Provide vision, direction, and oversight for all parts of the Connections Team (Door Greeters, Lobby Hosts, Guest Services, Room Hosts, MPR Hosts, Service Managers, Café, Safety, Parking, Medical, etc.).
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop volunteers; shepherd them through appreciation, prayer, and one-on-one support.
  • Ensure volunteer resources—such as name badges, apparel, schedules, etc.—are organized and readily available.
  • Engage with volunteers and guests at all GPC-Chambersburg weekend services and special events.
  • Communicate service elements (communion, handouts, etc.) and updates to teams.
  • Oversee new visitor information and follow-up strategies, in coordination with other ministry areas and staff.
  • Ensure guest service areas are welcoming, clean, and organized.
  • Coordinate hospitality, volunteer deployment, and special handouts for major events such as Vision Weekend, Worship Nights, Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and other key gatherings.
  • Support church-wide events with hospitality, safety, and medical assistance.

2.Campus Support & Operations

  • Provide oversight and support for all campus Connection Teams through consistent meetings, campus visits, and resource fulfillment (Bibles, visitor info, café needs, medical supplies, volunteer apparel, devotions, etc.).
  • Manage Connections and Café budgets and reallocate resources as needed.
  • Maintain café operations including volunteer scheduling, inventory, organization, training, and process consistency.
  • Ensure a smooth and meaningful experience in the Chambersburg campus video venue each weekend by organizing volunteer scheduling, managing setup and tear-down, and guiding prayer and response times.

3. Safety, Medical, & Parking Teams

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and support Safety, Medical, and Parking volunteers; ensure SOPs, equipment, and incident reporting are maintained.
  • Provide ongoing training and operational oversight to ensure preparation for weekend services, Wednesday groups, and special events.

4. Administration and Reporting

  • Prepare and submit a monthly department report to be presented as part of a larger report to the Elders.
  • Oversee all budget areas under their purview.

5. Team Collaboration

Each member of the GPC staff will work as a team to accomplish the mission of Grand Point Church. This may include duties outside the normal realm of their position but are imperative to the fulfillment of our objectives as a whole.

Adult Ministry Lead - Recovery

Adult Ministry Lead – Recovery
Status: Part Time (10 hours/week)
Reports To: Director of Adult Ministry

The role of the Adult Ministry Lead – Recovery will offer leadership for the recovery area of Adult Ministry in coordination with the Director of Adult Ministry. This role is primarily focused on the Chambersburg campus; however, collaboration with other campuses is essential. They will provide spiritual and operational leadership in this area to ensure safe, biblically faithful, and sustainable environment for transformation. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of GPC, and the ability to develop key leadership teams within the DNA of GPC.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Adult Ministry Lead – Recovery will be responsible for the following (under the direction of the Director of Adult Ministry):

1. Direct Coordination of Recovery Ministry

This role will coordinate with the Director of Adult Ministry to provide direct leadership and oversight to the recovery ministry, including all weekly recovery large group gatherings and small groups.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and coach volunteer leadership teams (hospitality, group leaders, and kids care with teachable moments), equipping them to serve effectively and fostering a healthy, supportive volunteer culture that encourages spiritual growth and leadership development.
  • Review teaching content, testimonies, program elements, systems, practices, and policies to ensure alignment with GPC mission and doctrine as well as the Recovery Ministry values and curriculum integrity.
  • Track participation, engagement, stories of life change, and ministry systems, including attendance and volunteer involvement being sure to communicate key updates, major fluctuations, or insights to the Director of Adult Ministry.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Adult Ministry on ministry goals, objectives, and strategy. Contribute to planning, evaluation, and ongoing improvement of effectiveness and impact.
  • Oversee weekly preparation of gatherings, room set-up and clean-up, necessary presentation elements (technology, worship, etc.), hospitality needs, and kids care.

2. Administration and Reporting

  • Assist the Director of Adult Ministry with purchasing, handling of receipts, and tracking expenses

3. Team Collaboration

Kids Ministry Lead - Chambersburg

Kids Ministry Lead – Chambersburg
Status: Full-time (salary)
Reports To: Director of Kids Ministry

The Grand Point Church (GPC) Kids Ministry Lead for the Chambersburg campus provides leadership and oversight for Kids Ministry, serving children from birth through 5th grade. This role ensures ministry alignment with GPC’s mission, vision, values, and church-wide Kids Ministry strategies, while developing a thriving, volunteer-led program.

Duties & Responsibilities
Working in conjunction with the Director of Kids Ministry, the key responsibilities for the Kids Ministry Lead at the Chambersburg campus are:

1. Kids Ministry Chambersburg Campus Oversight

  • Oversee all aspects of Kids Ministry at the Chambersburg campus.
  • Collaborate with central services staff to ensure ministry cohesion across GPC.
  • Provide ongoing communication, encouragement, and support to ministry leaders and volunteers.
  • Work alongside the Director of Kids Ministry to establish and maintain weekend programming that aligns with the overall Kids Ministry vision.
  • Empower volunteers with resources, lessons, and materials necessary for ministry success.
  • Recruit, train, and develop leadership and volunteers to sustain and grow the ministry.
  • Maintain weekly volunteer schedules to ensure smooth operation.
  • Communicate with parents regarding upcoming events and individual concerns.
  • Uphold GPC Kids Ministry policies and procedures.
  • Support the spiritual development of volunteers and foster a culture where they feel valued beyond their service.
  • Seek opportunities to participate in community children’s events (school plays, recitals, competitions) to offer support and presence.
  • Establish and maintain procedures in alignment with GPC Kids Ministry guidelines.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the ministry grows to ensure continuous progress.

2. Leadership Development

  • Partner with the Director of Kids Ministry to recruit, train, and equip volunteer leaders, as this is essential for ministry success.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and training opportunities to increase ministry capacity.
  • Empower volunteers to execute ministry responsibilities effectively.

3. Kids Ministry Collaboration

  • Contribute to the vision and strategy of GPC Kids Ministry church wide.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Kids Ministry, central services staff, and other Kids Ministry
  • Leads to promote alignment and consistency across all campuses:
    • Calendar events and programs
    • Planning, execution, and evaluation of programs

4. Classroom Maintenance & Teacher Support

  • Maintain functional, safe, and engaging classroom environments while staying within budget.
  • Track the budget for your campus and communicate any concerns with the Director of Kids Ministry.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies (crafts, snacks, paper products) and classroom needs (materials, toys, furnishings, and equipment, including cleanliness of linens and aprons) and replenish as needed.
  • Monitor AV equipment and communicate any needed repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and spaces are safe and beneficial to children’s learning and care.

5. Team Collaboration
