The Garden at Grand Point Church

Welcome to the women’s ministry of Grand Point Church! Through several in-person events throughout the year, we invite women ages 14 and over to join us for connection, teaching, and fellowship. Together, we will grow by cultivating faith, staying rooted in love, and flourishing in grace.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, The Garden is a place for you. A place to be seen, known, and encouraged.

Registration is NOW OPEN!

Gather your friends and make plans to join us for an evening of worship, encouragement, and intentional connection on Friday, May 1st. Our theme for the evening will focus on the first part of our mission statement: “Cultivating Faith.”

We’ll start the event in the Sanctuary at GPC-Chambersburg for worship and a message from DeEnda Hockenberry that will encourage & challenge you to consider what is cultivating your faith in this season. Then we’ll move to the Multi-Purpose Room for a time of intentional connection and fellowship (and snacks!).

Meet Our Speaker

DeEnda Hockenberry is a wife, mother of two grown children, and proud grandmother of six. She has attended Grand Point Church for 13 years. After retiring a year ago, she found herself wondering what this new season of life would hold—but God had a beautiful plan waiting.

Through her husband’s loving support, an enclosed back porch was transformed into a greenhouse, now filled with thriving plants and year-round blooms. While she doesn’t consider herself a master gardener, DeEnda has discovered a deep sense of purpose in gardening for the Master.

In the quiet, faithful tending of her garden, she has seen God at work—not only in the growth of her plants, but in her own heart. DeEnda now shares how plant life beautifully reflects the way God nurtures, shapes, and cultivates our faith. She invites others to join her in discovering the spiritual lessons found in the garden, where growth, patience, and transformation come to life.
