Serve Day 2025
In 2024 we launched our “Serve Day” initiative with the goal of sending our Grand Point Church family into the community to help as many people as possible feel seen, known, loved, and valued – not just by us, but by Jesus! Hundreds of volunteers went to dozens of organizations in Greencastle, Chambersburg, and Shippensburg to serve in practical, hands-on ways…and we’re doing it again this year!
Mark your calendars and save the date for Saturday, September 6th!
Volunteer Needs
Each organization will need two team leads who will be responsible for:
- serving as the main point of contact leading up to the event for both the GPC team and the organization
- responsible for regular communication to your volunteer team
- receiving, reading, and quickly responding to email communication
- attending a brief training event on Friday, September 5 at GPC-Chambersburg to receive all the materials and information you’ll need for Serve Day
- take photos of your team/serve day project to share with GPC
Each team will also need volunteers who are excited to:
- serve our communities
- receive, read, and respond to email communication from your team leads
- arrive on time on Saturday and stay for the entirety of the service project
- show our communities that they are seen, known, loved, and valued
The deadline to sign up for Serve Day is August 25, 2025 – but space at each organization is limited, so sign-up today!

Sample Schedule
Day 1
- 5:00pm Team Leader Training
Day 2
- 8:15am – Teams meet at assigned organizations for a quick huddle
- 8:30-11:30am – Serve!
- 12:00pm – Lunch & a time to share God stories at your chosen GPC campus (meal provided by GPC)
