The Familiar Stranger

Group Description

We hear a lot about Jesus and God, the father, but too often in the Christian church the Holy Spirit is just a familiar stranger. And yet, when Jesus was preparing to leave his disciples, he stated in John 16 that it was better for them if He left them so the Holy Spirit could come to them. If the Holy Spirit feels like a familiar stranger to you…you know about him, you’ve talked about him, but you’ve never really experienced him, then come with us for 7 weeks, and let’s take a little deeper dive into learning who He is, who Jesus said He is, and practice seeking his presence together. We will follow the video streaming study guide, and it is encouraged that you be willing to share and be open to discussion and actual practice of our learning. There is a book which is suggested to have/read, but is not necessary . Looking forward to learning more and experiencing more of the Holy Spirit, the One that Jesus said would empower us to do what He did, and even greater things!  (Sept 15th-October 27th)
